BIO-key is outfitting San Juan College with its PortalGuard Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. San Juan College is located in Farmington, New Mexico, and will use PortalGuard to enable Single Sign-on (SSO) protocols for people trying to gain access to cloud and web applications.
With PortalGuard, users will not need to perform a separate login each time they want to gain access to a different application. The system will replace San Juan’s existing IAM solution, which was free and did not offer a comprehensive SSO utility. PortalGuard is compatible with a number of different enterprise applications, including Canvas, Sharepoint, and Office 365, and offers supplementary Password Management and biometric authentication capabilities.
“PortalGuard’s minimal customization requirements and streamlined licensing model can save organizations significant resources and deliver quick time to value. There are times when a free solution is not exactly free, and cybersecurity is not an area to shortcut,” said PortalGuard President Mark Cochran.
San Juan College is not the first academic institution to adopt PortalGuard in the past few months. BIO-key has already delivered the platform to Eastern Florida State College, Arcadia University, and the North Orange County Community College District in California, amongst several other schools. The company’s full PortalGuard portfolio also includes customers in the government and financial sectors.
