“Invixium’s new office will be located in Dubai Internet City, an innovation hub that also houses the local headquarters of tech firms like IBM and Microsoft.”
Biometric access specialist Invixium is taking aim at the MENA market with the opening of a new office in Dubai.
The office will be headed by Wisam Yaghmour, who has been appointed as Invixium’s Senior Director of Sales for the MENA region. Yaghmour previously served as HID Global’s sales director for the MEA region, a position he held from 2015 to this year; in his new role with Invixium, Yaghmour will be targeting the Middle East, Turkey, North Africa, and Pakistan.
“I was drawn to join Invixium because of their impressive advancements in biometrics that deliver the perfect blend of access control, visitor screening and workforce management,” Yaghmour explained. “I am excited to expand Invixium’s presence in MENA, where new and existing customers can greatly benefit from the high level of confidence and security that these innovative solutions provide.”
In a statement announcing the developments, Invixium framed them as a response to rising interest in its temperature screening biometric access control solutions, which “are in high demand as businesses reopen during COVID-19.” Invixium’s new office will be located in Dubai Internet City, an innovation hub that also houses the local headquarters of tech firms like IBM and Microsoft.
The move represents the latest part of a larger global expansion effort on the part of Invixium. The Toronto-based company announced a new US headquarters this past summer, and went on to establish distribution partnerships that would extend its reach in the UK and in Latin America.
“As Invixium continues to develop solutions that resolve continually emerging security challenges, we’re focused on ensuring we have the best position to support our growing customer base,” said Shiraz Kapadia, President and CEO of Invixium. “Our new MENA headquarters in the technology epicenter of the region and the addition of a highly experienced sales leader who understands the nuances of this market allow us to continue our trajectory of innovation.”
