Aware announced external validation claims spanning ISO/IEC 30107-3 Presentation Attack Detection testing, ISO/IEC 19795-10 bias testing, participation in the Department of Homeland Security’s Rapid Identity Verification Rally program, and FIDO2 passkey readiness.
The certifications build on Aware’s top performance in DHS security testing announced in June 2025, when its passive liveness technology achieved the highest score in the DHS Rally for Identity Verification Technology Development program.
The ISO 30107-3 PAD Level 2 certification has become a key benchmark for liveness detection in remote identity verification, establishing that systems can detect and reject presentation attacks including printed photos, video replays, and 3D masks. Aware recently earned Luminary recognition for deepfake detection in the 2025 Prism Project report.
Independent testing and standards compliance are increasingly central for fraud-resilient remote identity verification as synthetic identities, deepfakes, and presentation attacks scale across onboarding and authentication workflows.
The ISO/IEC 19795-10 bias testing certification addresses demographic performance variations across age, gender, and ethnicity groups, ensuring biometric systems perform equitably across diverse user populations. Third-party independent liveness detection testing has become critical for establishing trust in remote identity verification systems deployed across regulated industries.
