The Swittons line of IoT devices now offers support for Microsoft Teams. The integration will enable simple video and voice communication to help deliver better remote services to people in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
According to Swittons, its devices can help facilities that are trying to enforce social distancing mandates and reduce unnecessary risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. To that end, the remote tech negates the need for in-person appointments and allows healthcare providers to extend coverage across a greater area. The company’s solutions are designed to be interoperable with the rest of Microsoft’s ecosystem and with other commercial products.
“Our devices are now able to facilitate remote communication at the push of a button,” said Swittons Founder and CEO Anupam Nandwana. “This not only saves organizations time and money, it gives them a way to connect with customers, patients and partners in a deeper, more meaningful way.”
Swittons has also unveiled a new device model that offers fingerprint recognition for added security. The company’s products can be custom branded, and can be pre-programmed with software that will meet the specific needs of each organization.
Of course, Swittons is not the first company that has emphasized the benefits of remote technology during the pandemic. Technology providers like BioIntelliSense, ViTel Net, and VivaLNK have all released new remote patient monitoring tools to protect clinical staff and improve treatment outcomes in the past few months.
