Suprema is highlighting the utility of its contactless access control solutions. The company notes that many organizations have prioritized contactless tech since the onset of COVID-19, largely because contactless solutions are more sanitary than shared touch-based devices.
With that in mind, Suprema called particular attention to FaceStation 2 and its Mobile Access platform. The former is a facial recognition terminal that can recognize 30,000 unique users and conduct as many as 3,000 matches per second. The latter is a credentialing system that turns a standard smartphone into a secure digital credential that can be swiped at an RFID reader.
“The COVID-19 pandemic heightened market demand for safer and more secure access control solutions,” said Suprema CEO Young Moon. “Our FaceStation 2 Terminal and Mobile Access contactless solutions deliver comprehensive functionality for the most demanding security and workforce management applications.”
Mobile Access is available for Android and iOS devices, and eliminates the need for cards, fobs, and other standalone proximity devices. The solution made its debut in April of this year.
FaceStation 2, on the other hand, arrived back in 2017. Suprema unveiled the latest version of the platform at the INTERSEC 2020 event in Dubai, and indicated that the new tech would launch sometime in the second half of 2020.
