NEC Corporation of America has appointed Carmelo Lisciotto as Vice President of Operations for its Advanced Recognition Systems (ARS) business.
Lisciotto comes to the company from a previous position as CISO and VP of IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations for Life Image, a position he held since May of 2018. He has also served in senior IT positions with PerkinElmer, Wipro, and Parexel.
In his new role with NECAM, Lisciotto will lead ARS post-deliver operations across law enforcement, government, and digital ID. In addition, he will oversee a number of technical operations, including service delivery management, field engineering, service transition, contract management, customer success management and monitoring and SRE, CI/CD automation, and the activities of the company’s technical assistance center.
Last year, NECAM announced the appointment of Mike Lesko, a former Texas Department of Public Safety official, as its Senior Director of Government Technology & Services, explaining at the time that part of Lesko’s remit would be to enhance Advanced Recognition Systems’ “strategic direction of extending our services beyond identification bureaus.”
Now, it appears that Lisciotto will play an important role in that effort, as well.
“We look forward to providing customers in state and local law enforcement, U.S. Federal government and aviation with the efficient and cost-effective experiences they expect from NEC with Carmelo on board,” commented Eugene le Roux, NECAM’s Vice President of Digital Government and International Operations for ARS.
