“We are confident that Greg’s expertise in managing high-performing global teams and developing strategic partnerships will be instrumental in launching Alcatraz AI into continued success.” – Tina D’Agostin, CEO, Alcatraz AI
Facial recognition specialist Alcatraz AI has named its first SVP of Sales, and the executive brings to the role extensive experience with two of the biggest names in biometrics and access control.
Greg Sarrail comes to the role from HID Global, where he started in 2007 as the Sales and Business Development Director of its Identity and Access Management division, and eventually rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Global Sales for its Extended Access Technologies division.
Before his term with HID, Sarrail worked for NEC Corporation of America. From 2001 to 2007, he served as the company’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
In announcing his appointment, Alcatraz highlighted Sarrail’s “depth of knowledge in biometrics and extended use cases” and his experience in leading sales teams and building relationships as key assets, adding that he is an “expert in closing large global deals”.
“Alcatraz AI is ecstatic to welcome Greg to the team,” said Alcatraz AI CEO Tina D’Agostin. “We are confident that Greg’s expertise in managing high-performing global teams and developing strategic partnerships will be instrumental in launching Alcatraz AI into continued success.”
The appointment – and the creation of the position itself – speaks to Alcatraz’s intensifying focus on driving sales and revenues in the accelerating biometric security and access control market. Last month, the company announced the appointment of Paul Fisher, a seasoned security sector executive, as its Vice President of Sales.
Commenting on his own appointment, Sarrail highlighted the strong foundation upon which his sales efforts will build. “Alcatraz AI has the key ingredients for success, the right technology that uniquely and quickly solves customer pain points, an innovative team, good timing, and happy customers,” he said.
Alcatraz AI recently announced an updated version of its flagship biometric platform aimed at making it more user friendly for customers.
