ISC West Show and Tell: Alcatraz AI’s Greg Sarrail Demonstrates Biometric Anti-tailgating Tech

A growing number of organizations have been turning to biometric technologies to enhance their physical access security in recent years, and with the pandemic having made contactless solutions especially appealing, Alcatraz AI has enjoyed a rising profile with its face-based access solution, “The Rock”. Alcatraz kickstarted 2022 with an upgrade of its flagship solution, streamlining its integration capabilities and simplifying its processing requirements and troubleshooting tools; and the company naturally sought to show off its revamped solution at the recent ISC West event in Las Vegas.

On the show floor of the Venetian Expo, FindBiometrics’ Doug OGorden had the opportunity to speak with Alcatraz’s SVP of Sales, Greg Sarrail, who discussed The Rock’s ease of use and the advantages of performing biometric matches at a given point of entry. Sarrail also offered a look at the device in action, with a colleague helping him to illustrate the system’s ability to detect tailgating.
