Iothic and Carahsoft Technology Corp. have announced a partnership to make Iothic’s decentralized authentication platform available to U.S. government agencies through Carahsoft’s public sector distribution network and federal contract vehicles.
Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Iothic’s public sector distributor, offering the Oxford, UK-based company’s CORE platform through reseller partners and major government procurement contracts including NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, TIPS, and OMNIA Partners.
Iothic’s CORE platform, powered by its decentralized Open Interoperable Security Protocol (d)OISP, takes a fundamentally different approach to authentication by replacing traditional long-lived credentials such as certificates, keys, and shared secrets with ephemeral, machine-generated synchronisation keys. The decentralized model uses the trust properties of the network itself rather than relying on stored credentials that can be stolen or compromised in a breach.
“In an age of AI-speed warfare, we can no longer afford to ‘manage’ risk; we must mathematically eliminate it,” said William Sullivan, CEO of Iothic. “Partnering with Carahsoft is a significant milestone in expanding the reach of our security platform to the public sector.”
For government agencies, the platform is designed to reduce the risk of credential-based attacks while supporting federal zero-trust mandates. By eliminating the operational burden of certificate and key lifecycle management, the companies say CORE simplifies compliance and governance across distributed systems.
Michael Shrader, vice president of intelligence and innovative solutions at Carahsoft, said the partnership helps agencies adopt a modern approach to authentication that reduces credential-based risk across critical systems and infrastructure. The platform is suited for environments that rely on large networks of devices and edge infrastructure, including smart cities, public safety systems, defence logistics, and critical infrastructure monitoring.
Iothic describes its architecture as credentialless, decentralized, zero-trust, and quantum-resistant, designed to prevent credential-based attacks before they occur rather than detecting them after the fact. Carahsoft, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, serves as the master government aggregator for hundreds of technology vendors, providing procurement access across federal, state, and local government agencies as well as education and healthcare markets. The company’s distribution network gives Iothic immediate access to the U.S. government IT market through established contract vehicles and reseller relationships.
