iDen2 Partners with Carahsoft for US Government Decentralized Identity

Decentralized identity platform provider iDen2 has partnered with Carahsoft Technology Corp. to make its passwordless, self-sovereign identity infrastructure available to U.S. government agencies and enterprises through Carahsoft’s public sector reseller network.

Under the agreement, iDen2’s platform is accessible through multiple government contract vehicles including NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, TIPS, and OMNIA Partners. The platform is built on self-sovereign identity (SSI) principles, enabling individuals to manage verifiable credentials through a secure identity wallet while retaining control over what personal data they share. Technical capabilities include AI-powered trust scoring, predictive fraud prevention, deepfake and synthetic identity detection, and cryptographically verifiable credentials.

iDen2 founder Alfy Louis tied the platform’s design to the expanding scope of identity challenges in digital environments. “Every person, organization and AI agent operating in the digital world needs a trusted, verified identity,” Louis said. Steve Jacyna, Director of Innovative Cybersecurity Solutions at Carahsoft, pointed to agency modernization as the demand driver: “As Government agencies modernize their cybersecurity and citizen service strategies, the need for secure, privacy-first and interoperable identity solutions has never been greater.”

iDen2 brings an existing user base to the government market. The company acquired Bindle Systems, previously the largest self-sovereign identity network in the United States with more than 300,000 users since 2023. The acquisition gave iDen2 an operational SSI network at launch rather than a greenfield deployment, with capabilities addressing threat vectors such as deepfakes and synthetic identities that have become central concerns for federal agencies managing citizen-facing digital services.

The partnership continues Carahsoft’s pattern of positioning itself as the channel for decentralized identity solutions into the federal space. Nuggets previously added its decentralized identity platform via Carahsoft to federal procurement channels in September 2025, also citing AI agent identity and W3C Verifiable Credentials as core use cases. The iDen2 deal mirrors the structure of Lastwall’s quantum-resilient identity partnership with Carahsoft from March 2026, which accessed the same NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, and OMNIA Partners procurement vehicles. Carahsoft has also played a central role in major identity modernization awards, including Carahsoft’s role in the $194.5M Login.gov identity upgrade alongside 1Kosmos and the GSA.
