Invixium Launches Multimodal TFACE Access Control System

Invixium is expanding its access control portfolio with the release of its new IXM TFACE solution. The multimodal scanner offers support for four authentication factors, including face and fingerprint biometrics in addition to physical and mobile credentials.

The facial recognition utility is delivered with a pair of 8MP Sony cameras, one of which is infrared and one of which is a more traditional RGB. The platform offers liveness detection to guard against spoofing, and mask detection to make sure that employees are complying with any public health policies that may be put in place. In that regard, TFACE can help meet the growing demand for contactless access control solutions.

Fingerprint recognition, on the other hand, is realized with a 500dpi optical fingerprint sensor. The terminal also comes with a 2.4” touchscreen for organizations that want to display custom notifications or implement PINs as an extra layer of security.

According to Invixium, TFACE is designed primarily for enterprise applications, while its flagship IXM TITAN product is geared more toward industrial deployments. TFACE can identify up to 25,000 registered users, and runs on Android OS with a quad-core 2.2GHz processor.

The scanner can read physical RFID cards, or mobile credentials and QR codes that can be stored on a standard smartphone. Invixium released its own contactless IXM Mobile credentialing solution in October of 2021.

TFACE comes with a built-in intercom to allow security to communicate with people at the door. The terminal was launched at this week’s Intersec 2022 event in Dubai, where it has been on display at booth S1-D12 in Sheikh Saeed Hall 1.
