Hopae has appointed Sarah Clark as Chief Product Officer and General Manager for North America, a move the company says will support its efforts to accelerate product development and expand its presence in the region.
In its announcement, Hopae said Clark most recently served as Senior Vice President of Digital Identity at Mastercard, where she led development and launch of what the company described as a globally interoperable digital identity network. Hopae also highlighted Clark’s broader background in product leadership, stating she brings more than 25 years of experience, including more than a decade building and launching digital identity products and related businesses.
The appointment comes as enterprise digital identity and credential verification providers continue to pitch interoperability layers as a solution to mounting integration complexity. As governments advance national digital ID programs and wallet-based credential models, and private sector platforms build onboarding and verification flows around them, enterprises face growing pressure to support a broad range of credential types and standards without creating highly customized integrations for each one.
Hopae positions itself as an “identity infrastructure” provider with two main product lines. The first is Hopae Connect, which the company describes as an enterprise verification hub that functions as a single API and commercial bridge for verifying more than 60 electronic IDs and wallets. Hopae frames Connect as a way to reduce fragmented point-to-point integrations by enabling organizations to connect once and validate multiple credential schemes through a unified interface. The company also ties Connect to the “intermediary” role under eIDAS 2.0, positioning itself as part of the infrastructure layer that could help relying parties interact with European Digital Identity Wallets as they move toward broader deployment.
The second product line is Hopae Wallet, which the company describes as a wallet SDK aligned with W3C standards and the ISO/IEC 18013-5 mobile driver’s license ecosystem, with support for iOS and Android. The product is positioned for organizations building their own wallet experiences or embedding credential storage and presentation capabilities into broader applications.
Hopae has also been signaling an expansion narrative in Europe. A late-2025 report described the company’s European growth strategy as a response to the EU’s digital identity transition timelines, including investment aimed at strengthening its regional presence and scaling its intermediary platform approach.
