Biometrics News – Fingerprint Recognition
Invixium pulled out all the stops for a recent launch event in South Africa. The company has announced that its entire portfolio of biometric solutions is now available to businesses and security providers in the country, all of which was on display as Invixium celebrated with a full day of talks and demos in Johannesburg.
The highlights included the IXM Titan biometric access control terminal and the SENSE 2 fingerprint scanner, the latter of which Invixium CEO and President Shiraz Kapadia demoed live onstage during his keynote. Kapadia performed the test with a wet finger to demonstrate the reader’s rugged capabilities and its performance in difficult conditions.
“We strive to leave a lasting impression at every Invixium event,” said Kapadia. “Showcasing our products on stage and having a live unattended setup for the audience to touch and feel reflects our boldness and confidence.”
All of Invixium’s products can be managed using IXM’s recently upgraded WEB 2.0 interface. IXM TIME is a simple attendance management solution, while the SENSE 2 features a Lumidigm multispectral imaging sensor.
With the South African debut, Invixium is following through on expansion plans that began in earnest with $3.5 million in debt financing back in July. The company is also targeting the Middle East through its distribution partnership with Ashraf Information technologies.
Pyro-Tech is Invixium’s partner in South Africa, and helped stage the launch event.
