“The partnership between BIO-key and 3Eye Technologies will be beneficial in reaching key markets like banking, financial, local government clients as well as other enterprises.” – Fred Corsentino, Chief Revenue Officer, BIO-key
BIO-key is looking to further expand its Channel Partner Program through a new distribution partnership. The company has teamed up with 3Eye Technologies, a Michigan-based firm that describes itself as “a mobile-first distributor” that works with Value-Added Resellers, resellers, and Managed Service Providers to create and optimize channel programs.
The partnership will be focused on BIO-key’s biometric technologies, which will be marketed as Identity-Bound Biometrics (IBB) solutions. In a statement announcing the partnership, BIO-key Chief Revenue Officer Fred Corsentino suggested that it will play a key role in extending BIO-key’s market reach.
“The partnership between BIO-key and 3Eye Technologies will be beneficial in reaching key markets like banking, financial, local government clients as well as other enterprises,” he explained. “This ability to target and foster these markets will be instrumental in proliferating BIO-key’s innovative solutions across industries that need to secure essential data for their employees and customers alike.”
Establishing partnerships with resellers and distributors is a key component of BIO-key’s market strategy, formalized through the company’s Channel Alliance Partner program. Last year, BIO-key added multiple firms to this partner network, including UVS Infotech, Cyberlitica, ScanSource subsidiary Intelisys, and Kenya’s Kristel Communication Ltd.
For 3Eye Technologies, the partnership represents an opportunity to offer clients technological solutions that “address several key security concerns that affect organizations across every field,” explained 3Eye Business Development VP Reid Estreicher. “Cybersecurity is obviously top of mind for every organization, and BIO-key’s IAM solutions are some of the most flexible and diverse in the industry, allowing our sales team to ‘tailor’ authentication platforms for their customers.”
This latest partnership arrives at an exciting time for BIO-key, whose acquisition of PistolStar and its PortalGuard SSO platform in 2020 has been paying off in markedly increased revenues, with BIO-key having predicted in its most recent fiscal update that it is on track to reach break-even operations this year. The company also embarked on another important acquisition with its announcement of a definitive agreement to purchase Swivel Secure Europe earlier this year.
