BehavioSec is trying to show businesses the benefits of behavioral biometrics. To that end, the company has introduced four new editions of its flagship behavioral biometrics platform, each one of which is geared toward the needs of a different kind of organization.
That includes the new Free MFA edition of the platform. The Free version is intended to serve as an entry level service, and is being released to help win over businesses that may be wary of the new technology. BehavioSec is hoping that the Free edition will convince those businesses of its value proposition, and accelerate the adoption of behavioral biometrics technology more generally. The Free Edition is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) MFA solution, and does not come with any time limit on the service.
The other editions are more robust, and are designed for organizations that already know what they want from a behavioral biometrics system. The Workforce MFA edition, for example, can help a business verify the identities of their employees. It can provide coverage for any application or device being used to access corporate resources, and for any number of end users. It is also compliant with a range of different security and privacy regulations.
The Consumer MFA edition is similar to Workforce MFA, but can be more readily be integrated into a public-facing application. The solution can scale to allow businesses to verify the identities of tens of millions of potential customers.
Finally, the Enterprise Fraud solution is a comprehensive offering that gives clients access to BehavioSec’s full authentication and fraud prevention suite. The company went on to highlight some of the advantages of behavioral biometrics, noting that it provides ongoing authentication to guard against account takeover fraud. The technology also does not require the use of any personally identifiable information, which makes it appealing to those who are worried about privacy. Instead, the platform analyzes someone’s habits to generate a unique (and non-transferable) user profile for each application.
BehavioSec first introduced a cloud-based SaaS version of its platform in July. The company also received two new patents in June, and now holds a total of 24 patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
