“The system’s operation has also been streamlined, with new threat detection algorithms having reduced the number of end user interactions needed to recognize individuals and potential threats.”
BehavioSec has upgraded its behavioral biometrics platform.
Version 5.0 of the BehavioSec Behavioral Biometrics Platform is now able to detect the use of Virtual Private Networks and TOR-routed traffic, helping the system to detect attempts to obfuscate hack attacks. It also now has access to a database of 1.5 billion compromised devices, the company says, boosting the platform’s ability to detect potential fraudsters even if it’s the first time engaging with them.
The system’s operation has also been streamlined, with new threat detection algorithms having reduced the number of end user interactions needed to recognize individuals and potential threats.
The upgrade’s announcement comes just about a week ahead of the FS-ISAC Fall Summit, where BehavioSec co-founder and VP Olov Renberg will deliver a talk on the benefits of behavioral biometrics. Commenting in a statement announcing the upgrade, Javelin Strategy & Research VP Al Pascual added his voice to this chorus as well, asserting that “[a]s banks and credit unions grapple with how to prevent account-takeovers from denting their new mobile and digital-first offerings, they turn to behavioral biometrics as part of the foundation for interaction.”
