Aware is showcasing its biometric authentication solutions at this week’s ID4Africa event in Morocco. ID4Africa is currently underway at the Movenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi in Marrakech, where Aware’s products will be on display at Booth C11 until the end of the show on June 16.
The highlight of Aware’s product lineup is its Knomi authentication platform, which allows organizations to take advantage of the biometric sensors that come built-in with modern smartphones. Knomi can be used for remote onboarding, and for passwordless authentication once a user has been registered. The technology is designed to mitigate the threat of identity theft, and to eliminate the risk of data breaches that goes along with passwords.
At ID4Africa, Aware representatives are on hand to conduct live demos of Knomi for any interested guests. The company believes that the solution is well-suited to SIM card registration, and for those looking for an extra layer of security when authorizing transactions through online channels.
“With the rates of both mobile transactions and fraud increasing at the same time around the globe, the time has come for a passwordless authentication solution that customers find convenient,” said Aware CCO Rob Mungovan. “We are proud to offer our Knomi solution to mobile network operators and telecommunications providers as a highly secure authentication alternative to the password. We have long supported ID4Africa and look forward to helping them establish advanced identity solutions for their region.”
In addition to Knomi, Aware has brought its AwareABIS solution and its BioSP middleware product to Marrakech. The company’s subscription revenues have been increasing in its latest quarterly reports, and it recently delivered Knomi for major banks in Mexico, Brazil, and Turkey. The Knomi platform was also the recipient of a BIG Innovation Award earlier this year.
