Aware is celebrating now that its Knomi authentication platform is the recipient of a 2022 BIG Innovation Award. The annual awards are presented by the Business Intelligence Group, and are handed out to commemorate innovative products and organizations that could have a tangible impact on people’s lives.
In that regard, the Group opted to recognize Aware for delivering a solution makes digital services more user-friendly while still guarding against some of the world’s most prevalent cyberthreats. The Knomi mobile authentication platform offers support for both face and voice recognition, verifying people’s identities with secure biometrics instead of passwords. In doing so, Knomi mitigates the risk of data breaches, phishing, and ransomware attacks.
Knomi takes advantage of the cameras and microphones that now come standard on many smartphones. As a result, people do not need to purchase any additional hardware in order to verify their identities with the technology. The platform can enable multi-factor authentication, and boasts iBeta-certified anti-spoofing capabilities.
“Innovation is driving growth in the global economy,” said Business Intelligence Group COO Maria Jimenez. “We are thrilled to be honoring Aware as they are one of the organizations leading this charge and helping humanity progress.”
“We believe that Knomi is the strongest, most convenient, and most effective passwordless authentication solution available today, and are thrilled to see it being recognized as such with the BIG Innovation Award,” added Aware CTO Mohamed Lazzouni.
Knomi is compatible with many of the top operating systems, including Windows and Linux in addition to Android and iOS. Aware has encouraged organizations to use the solution for contactless access control, and Knomi has been featured in Imprivata’s new self-enrollment platform for the Electronic Prescription of Controlled Substances. Jumio is a prior recipient of the BIG Innovation Award, with solutions that went home with prizes in 2019 and 2020.
