ARIADNEXT has updated its remote identity verification platform in an effort to comply with France’s latest ANSSI reference framework, which was published in draft form on December 1. The company is now hoping to submit its solution for ANSSI certification as soon as the organization opens the process and begins taking applications.
The ARIADNEXT update brings two new utilities to its platform. Most notably, it replaces static document capture with a more dynamic video capture feature that detects the presence of an identity document in a video stream. The feature allows the solution to pick up on document security features that would not be visible in a still image, such as holograms or watermarks.
The upgrade also introduces ARIADNEXT’s new hybrid verification option. In its original incarnation, the company’s document analysis process was fully automated. However, ARIADNEXT opened a new manual processing center in Romania in October, specifically to meet the incoming ANSSI requirements. The center is staffed with employees trained in fraud detection, and will add an extra layer of security to the ARIADNEXT platform.
ARIADNEXT’s IDCheck.io onboarding solution uses face and document recognition (with liveness detection) to verify the identity of a user. The platform uses the ARIADNEXT FaceMatch algorithm for the initial facial recognition match. The liveness check, on the other hand, is carried out with technology from BioID. IDCheck.io received FIDO certification in November after clearing the ISO 19795 and ISO 30107 standards for biometric performance.
