Applied Recognition‘s facial recognition technology has been integrated into a tablet-based system from Paychex, a time and attendance tracking solutions provider.
In adopting Applied Recognition’s technology, Paychex has become the latest in a long line of time and attendance specialists looking to enhance their offerings with biometric capabilities that allow clients to more accurately and reliably identify their staff when clocking in and out for work. Paychex has implemented the facial recognition technology into its Paychex Flex Time tablet kiosk.

In a statement announcing the integration, Paychex Corporate Strategy and Product Management VP Tom Hammond lauded Applied Recognition’s technology for “the flexibility it offers” to Paychex’s clients. “Many employers today would prefer not to have a bulky time clock hanging on the wall and instead prefer the ease of employees clocking in and out via tablet,” he explained. “Our work with ARI has enabled us to take that one step further, allowing for multiple employees to clock in and out on the same device using the latest facial recognition technology.”
News of the integration comes just a couple of weeks after Applied Recognition’s announcement that its facial recognition technology had been added to VMware’s Technology Alliance Partner Program.
