Zwipe is looking to raise its profile in the Asia Pacific market. To that end, the company has set up a new subsidiary in Singapore, and tagged Claus Hansen to serve as its new Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the entire APAC region.
As VP, Hansen will spearhead Zwipe’s conversations with APAC card issuers and manufacturers. In doing so, he will encouraging those companies to adopt biometric payment cards, and specifically to issue cards that feature Zwipe’s Pay ONE biometric payment platform.
Hansen will work out of the Zwipe Singapore office. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the position, and has previously held executive positions in Asia with NXP, Entrust, dz card, Kona I, and Gemalto. His areas of expertise include cybersecurity and fintech in addition to smart cards and payment technology more generally.

Zwipe already has numerous card partnerships throughout he APAC region. The company started working with dz card back in 2019, and has more recently partnered with Silkcard and Beautiful Card Corporation. Silkcard is based in Bangladesh, while Beautiful Card Corporation operates out of Taiwan.
ICPS and Que Processing Services are some of Zwipe’s other collaborators in the region. The Pay ONE platform features a fingerprint sensor from IDEX Biometrics.
