On-device authentication has been a hot topic here at FindBiometrics, and it’s the same story at this year’s Money 20/20 Europe, now in full swing in Amsterdam. User authentication and a password free internet are all major topics being discussed at Europe’s largest FinTech event and FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill is on the scene and reporting live.
Today he had a chance to speak with Deepak Dutt, CEO of Zighra, a Canadian company that offers AI-powered continuous authentication technology which tracks over 900 human and environmental traits including device, network, social, location, behavioral and biometric intelligence, as well as human-machine and machine-machine interactions.
Dutt commented on the “intense attention” currently being directed toward behavioral biometrics, with a shift from cloud-based to on-device authentication. Dutt also spoke about the future of his company, and utilizing the FIDO2 WebAuthn standard in order to leverage behavioral biometrics capabilities on various devices in a conjoined effort to eradicate the password.
