Yoti is hoping to educate New Zealand’s youth about the benefits of digital identity through a new partnership with MyMahi. The online portal is designed to help young people in New Zealand make the transition from school to the working world.
To that end, MyMahi provides users with timetables, notifications, and other tools to help them maximize their academic experience. The platform teaches students how to create a CV (and other basic life skills), and also offers thousands of tertiary courses and connects them to valuable volunteer and work opportunities.
As a MyMahi partner, Yoti will be trying to prepare students for the digital world. However, the two companies did not share any specific details about what that would entail, so the full scope of the partnership is not yet clear.
Even so, the initiative is in keeping with some of Yoti’s prior efforts. The company has consistently tried to connect with young audiences, and has previously provided age verification services for Yubo’s youth-oriented social media platform and the Native app, which distributes concert and event tickets to university students.
More recently Yoti announced that young adults in the UK will be able to use the digital identity app to claim their Child Trust Funds when they turn 18.
