Bianchi Vending will be deploying VSBLTY’s analytic technology in a new line of vending machines that blend physical and digital technologies. The vending machines will make their debut at the 2021 Host Milano event in Fiera Milano, Italy, where they will be on display at Stand E23 F22 in Hall 13.
According to VSBLTY, the analytic technology will give Bianchi Vending more insight into its customers. The company’s computer vision platform can count the number of people who approach and use each machine, and help determine what products draw the most interest from the general public. It can also track demographic information like age and gender to give vendors a better sense of what does well with different audiences.
Bianchi’s clients can then use that information to stock vending machines with products that their customers actually want, and to place their machines in a location that will get the maximum amount of foot traffic. Those measures will in turn help operators bring in more revenues with each individual vending unit.
The Host Milano conference is a showcase for the hospitality industry, and will run from October 22-26. Bianchi is pitching its new line of automated vending machines as Phygital Solutions that leverage digital tools to improve the in-person user experience. The machines themselves will come in an array of different form factors tailored to different environments.
VSBLTY, meanwhile, has already provided customer analytics for several retail outlets. The company’s technology has been installed in a chain of Mexican pet stores, and at tens of thousands of convenience stores that operate under the Grupo Modelo umbrella in Latin America. The company has also partnered with the investor relations firm CHF Capital Markets in an effort to extend its reach in the Canadian market, where it has now provided smart retail tech for a pharmacy and Canadian Tire.
