TECH5 has announced the general availability of its T5-Finger SDKs for interested customers. The SDKs can be used to enable fingerprint recognition in a range of different devices, and will also power fingerprint recognition in TECH5’s own biometric products, including the new T5-IDencode digital credential platform.
T5-Finger has performed extremely well in independent testing. It was listed as the second most accurate solution in NIST PFT III results that were released earlier this month, and accomplished that feat without sacrificing speed or efficiency. The solution had one of the smallest template sizes and displayed the fastest template comparison time out of all vendors.
The PFT III test specifically evaluates solutions based on their one-to-one matching capabilities. T5-Finger posted a similar top-tier performance in its MINEX III evaluation. The solution will also be featured in the T5-ABIS identification (1:N) and T5-MBAP verification (1:1) platforms.
“High results in NIST PFT III demonstrate TECH5’s commitment toward continuous investment in research and development,” said TECH5 Co-founder and CTO Rahul Parthe. “We are constantly improving our biometric algorithms and platforms to make sure that our customers and partners are equipped with the latest and greatest products.”
TECH5’s fingerprint SDKs will supplement the rest of the company’s biometric portfolio. The company has advocated for contactless identity verification in response to COVID-19, and recently added mask detection capabilities to its T5-Face facial recognition platform.
