“With Tascent Enterprise Suite, we’re delivering advanced biometric functionality as modular software components that are straightforward to integrate with existing systems and infrastructure.” – Alastair Partington, Founder and co-CEO, Tascent
Tascent has announced its new Tascent Enterprise Suite software solution, which is available globally today.
An open-architecture based identity platform, Tascent Enterprise Suite enables the implementation and management of Tascent’s own biometric devices, including the M6 handheld and the sleek (and versatile) InSight One, along with other third-party devices of the customer’s preference. Such flexibility is at the core of the Enterprise Suite.
“Biometrics software historically has been complex, closed, and difficult to use,” said Alastair Partington, Founder and co-CEO, Tascent. “With Tascent Enterprise Suite, we’re delivering advanced biometric functionality as modular software components that are straightforward to integrate with existing systems and infrastructure. We’re doing the heavy lifting to make it easy for organizations to implement sophisticated, intuitive identity systems.”
With Tascent’s new software solution, organizations can deploy biometrics for multimodal matching, identity storage, and transactional analytics. The Tascent Enterprise Suite is made up of six fundamental components: an identity engine handles the matching and storage of multimodal biometrics; identity applications optimized for desktop and mobile deployment that are ready to customize; a transaction manager governing workflow, format conversion, and identity message auditing; a device manager; modular frameworks; and performance analytics that collate data from connected devices and apps to present actionable analytics.
In a briefing with FindBiometrics, Partington emphasized his enthusiasm for the last of the six Tascent Enterprise Suite components listed above. The performance analytics are presented through an intuitive dashboard interface, translating metadata from the entire biometric security ecosystem into actionable information that can be used to get the best performance and user experience from an organization’s biomerics investment. Bench-marked device performance stats, average capture speed based on modality, ecosystem history, and other insights allow administrators to easily address issues as they happen, whether a specific device needs service or an employee needs to be re-enrolled.
Tascent’s focus on optimal user experience with the launch of Enterprise Suite reflects an industry-wide trend toward usability. Thanks to the widespread familiarity with biometrics born of consumer mobile device proliferation, the key to vertical market adoption is making a case on how biometrics and the software that enables them can improve daily tasks. With Tascent Enterprise Suite, organizations have an end-to-end biometric security solution that speaks for itself when it comes to improving the workplace.
