Suprema Launches Month-long Biometric Showcase

One of the biggest names in biometric security has kicked off a month-long virtual event to showcase its offerings.

Suprema Connect 2020 was first announced last month, arising from Suprema’s recognition of the COVID-19 pandemic’s deleterious impact on the year’s traditional industry event circuit. Accordingly, the event and its various product showcases will focus on how Suprema’s solutions can help organizations to cope with the effects of the pandemic, as Suprema CEO Young S. Moon explained in Suprema Connect’s official launch.

“The challenges the world faces this year force changes upon our regular routines that aren’t easy to adapt to, but technological breakthroughs can provide the flexibility to make rapid responses to these unpredictable events,” he said.

Perhaps chief among Suprema’s ‘technological breakthroughs’ is its new FaceStation F2 Fusion Multimodal Terminal, which sports visual and infrared facial recognition with a False Acceptance Rate that Suprema has pegged at one in a billion. While the terminal also supports fingerprint recognition, its contactless face scanning capabilities could prove especially appealing during the ongoing pandemic.

That solution will be showcased in two online events scheduled for Friday, September 17, with both sessions to be hosted by HC Kim, the company’s Director of Global Business.

Further online events are slated for later in September, with “Mobile Access” sessions to take place on September 22nd and “Access Controller” sessions slated for September 24th. The former will highlight the Suprema Mobile Access and Suprema Airfob Patch solutions; while the latter will focus on the CoreStation Intelligent Access Controller and Corestation 4 Door Access Control Kit.

These are just the first events in Suprema’s month-long program, with further online sessions yet to be announced.
