Socure Adds Live-Agent Remote Verifier for the Identities Its Automated Checks Can’t Clear

Socure has added a human layer to its identity verification stack, launching Remote Verifier, a live-agent review service inside its RiskOS platform aimed at the small share of people its automated checks cannot instantly clear.

The company says its layered verification infrastructure instantly verifies more than 99 percent of identities, against what it cites as an industry average of 64 percent, leaving fewer than one percent of individuals who fail initial checks, prefer not to use automated systems, or need a manual path. For those cases, Remote Verifier connects applicants with live agents who are equipped with the uploaded identity documents, the reasons the initial check failed, real-time fraud intelligence and risk indicators, and relevant identity attributes, so decisions rest on evidence rather than a video call alone.

The product is available across industries but carries additional functionality for government, a market where Socure has been deepening its position since introducing SocureGov on the same RiskOS platform in early 2026 and where Xcelerate and Socure recently won a 163 million dollar call order to modernize identity proofing for Login.gov. Legacy fallback processes in that sector typically mean scheduling a video session or an in-person appointment, adding wait times and cost while sophisticated fraudsters still slip through. Organizations get a unified console to view appointments, manage scheduling, and oversee the credential process end to end.

“Socure’s new Remote Verifier gives human reviewers the data and insights needed to make high-confidence identity decisions while limiting the friction felt by individuals accessing critical government services,” said Jordan Burris, Socure’s head of public sector, adding that the integration ensures agents are not “reviewing documents in isolation or using basic video conferencing software.”

Allocore, a technology provider for federal lending and grant programs, is the launch partner and will integrate Remote Verifier into its turnkey solution for Identity Assurance Level 2, the NIST-defined standard for remote identity proofing used across federal services, alongside closing and notary capabilities. Allocore CEO Bill Webner said the two companies’ work on federal systems has been “blocking hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent activity each month while improving access for legitimate applicants.”

The inclusion argument is central to the pitch: automated identity systems have long struggled with thin-file populations, and a documented, intelligence-backed manual channel gives agencies a way to verify everyone without reverting to the call center.
