Signicat, the European digital identity solutions provider, has launched its eID and Wallet Hub, a unified platform to manage the regulatory transition required by eIDAS 2.0 and the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR). The hub gives businesses a single API integration point for accepting EU Digital Identity Wallets, national eIDs, and other identity verification methods.
Through a single connection, businesses can access more than 35 local eIDs without building and maintaining separate country-by-country integrations. The platform can source identity data directly from EU Digital Identity Wallets (EUDI Wallets) or from Signicat’s own connected eID network, providing a hybrid capability for the period during which EUDI Wallets and established national eIDs will operate in parallel. Signicat estimates this transition period will last approximately three years.
The regulatory pressure behind the launch is substantial. eIDAS 2.0 requires EU member states to provide EUDI Wallets to citizens and mandates that regulated industries accept them by late 2027. The AMLR simultaneously introduces updated identity verification requirements affecting financial services. Businesses must therefore support both legacy national eID infrastructure and the emerging wallet ecosystem concurrently.
“For the next three years, digital identity in Europe will be organized chaos,” said Allard Keuter, Head of Authentication and Wallets at Signicat. “The real power of the wallet is putting users in control of their data. Our hub is built for that reality.”
The Wallet Hub builds on Signicat’s earlier WSO2 enterprise partnership, announced April 7, which connected the same 35-eID network to enterprise identity infrastructure. The product also draws on capabilities Signicat acquired when it acquired Inverid for NFC-based identity verification in July 2025, bringing eIDAS High assurance chip-reading capabilities to its identity sourcing options. Signicat was also selected by Denmark to support its digital identity wallet in December 2025, one of the national contracts underpinning its credibility in the EUDI transition market.
Signicat processes more than 500 million transactions per year across its existing eID network, serves more than 20,000 customers in 45 countries, and participates in EU Digital Identity Wallet Large-Scale Pilots. The company employs more than 530 people across 15 European countries and was founded in 2006.
