The behavioral biometrics specialist SecuredTouch has bested the competition at Lion’s Den 2020. The annual showcase took place during the Loyalty Security Association’s (LSA) recent spring conference, where SecuredTouch received the Best Product award for its patented fraud detection technology.
Like the other shows in the ‘Den’ sub-genre, Lion’s Den is essentially a short pitch session that gives companies five minutes to make the case for their product. Lion’s Den specifically asks competitors to present a solution that will make loyalty programs more secure.
The winners were selected by a panel of industry executives. This year’s lineup included representatives from World of Hyatt, the International Airlines Group, Wyndham Rewards, and Head for Points, who sat alongside LSA CEO Chris Staab. Stab also served as the Ringmaster for the event, while SecuredTouch’s competition included HooYu, Riskified, and PerimeterX.
SecuredTouch Account Executive Lewis Duker spoke on behalf of the company, detailing the steps a fraudster would take to hijack a loyalty account before explaining how behavioral biometrics can spot and stop fraudulent activity in real time.
“It’s not just about identifying fraudsters but identifying good users so you can take control, optimize experience, and provide a proactive approach before damage is done,” said Duker.
SecuredTouch received a patent for Continuous User Authentication back in July, and its behavioral biometrics platform was added to the X-Sight Marketplace only a few days later. The company was already part of the ForgeRock Trust Network, while its technology has been integrated into the ForgeRock Identity Platform.
