KYC Platform Opts for Passive Liveness Detection from ID R&D

ID R&D has found another customer for its IDLive Face solution. The company has announced that RelyComply will be integrating the passive liveness detection system into its own Know Your Customer platform.

Unlike some other liveness detection systems, IDLive Face is completely passive, and does not require the user to follow any instructions (such as blinking) to confirm their presence. The ISO/IEC 30107-3 compliant platform debuted back in August, and has rapidly become popular with companies that are looking to simplify their customer experience. In the past few months alone, Hive, TECH5, and Zenoo have all adopted IDLive Face to prevent spoofing on their respective platforms. 

RelyComply will be deploying the solution for similar ends. The company is primarily focused on the African market, offering a Software-as-a-Service solution that helps small businesses comply with strict eKYC and financial regulations while reducing costs. 

“Access to accurate and efficient remote onboarding and digital identity verification solutions is essential,” said RelyComply Director Bradley Smith. “ID R&D’s passive liveness solution enables us to reduce risk without adding extra steps or effort for the customer.”

“Bandwidth in Africa is scarce and expensive for many users,” he added. “Customers don’t want to be using it on taking videos for liveness checks.”

ID R&D develops voice recognition technology in addition to face-based liveness solutions. The company recently launched a new IDFraud Contact Center platform that uses voice biometrics to identify the voices of known fraudsters.
