ID R&D has found another customer for its IDLive Face technology. Hive has announced that it will be integrating the solution into its own Modern Identity Platform to enable passive liveness detection for its customers.
The Modern Identity Platform provides biometric identity verification that can be used for onboarding and authentication. According to Hive, the cloud service can be deployed in a matter of hours, making it particularly well-suited to the budget limitations of small and medium businesses that need an affordable way to comply with strict Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer regulations.
“The team at Hive is passionate about helping companies implement solutions that make a positive impact on the way they engage, serve and protect customers,” said Hive Co-Founder and CTO Yuriy Znatokov. “Our goal is to deliver comprehensive security without compromising usability and ID R&D’s passive facial liveness is an important piece of our offering.”
IDLive Face is compliant with the ISO 30107-3 standard, and prevents spoofing while delivering a more seamless authentication experience. Unlike some other liveness detection solutions, IDLive Face is able to confirm the presence of an individual without the use of forced interactions like blinks or nods.
The IDLive Face solution debuted back in August, and has rapidly gained traction since clearing Level 1 of the iBeta Presentation Attack Detection testing program earlier this year. Zenoo, Reconnect, and TECH5 have all adopted the solution in the past few months, with ID R&D also outfitting TECH5 with voice recognition technology as part of their arrangement.
Hive, meanwhile, indicated that the demand for its services has gone up since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many organizations have had to scramble to secure their newly remote workforce, especially in sensitive industries like finance and healthcare. The company is a member of the spring 2020 class of the Mastercard Lighthouse Program.
