Prove, the digital identity company, and Velocity, an enterprise platform for payments and treasury solutions, have formed a partnership aimed at closing what the companies call the trust gap between stablecoin settlement infrastructure and the identity checks needed to make those flows enterprise-ready. The announcement pairs Velocity’s unified payments and treasury platform with Prove’s identity network, which the company says can verify 90 percent of digitally active people worldwide.
The two companies frame the problem as a mismatch in maturity. Stablecoins now move enterprise payments, cross-border settlement, and treasury operations at internet speed, but the infrastructure for verifying who is moving the money has not kept up. Under the partnership, Prove’s identity assurance layer will be embedded into Velocity’s enterprise payment flows, giving compliance and risk teams a way to confirm verified counterparties before, during, and after a stablecoin transaction.
“Stablecoins have fundamentally changed enterprise finance by delivering faster, more programmable, and borderless value transfer,” said Fernando Castellanos, Global Head of Digital Assets and Sponsor Banks at Prove. “But while the movement of money has evolved, identity has not kept pace, and that trust gap remains one of the most significant barriers to enterprise adoption. Through our partnership with Velocity, we will deliver trust at global scale by giving verified users, merchants, and platforms the confidence to transact seamlessly across borders.”
“We want CFOs to be able to make money move like the internet: instant, global, and flexible,” said Eric Queathem, Founder and CEO of Velocity. “But speed without trust creates risk. Partnering with Prove means we can walk into any enterprise conversation knowing we have the identity layer covered.”
The joint solution targets three customer segments: banks and financial institutions building digital asset capabilities, payment companies expanding into cross-border stablecoin corridors, and global enterprises seeking programmable treasury solutions. For each, the companies say they will offer a coordinated engagement that pairs the payments infrastructure with the identity assurance requirements in a single deployment path.
The partnership extends the trust-layer strategy Prove laid out in April with its identity platform for people, businesses, and AI agents, and the agentic-commerce work it began with Verified Agent in late 2025. Prove says its identity products are used by 19 of the top 20 U.S. banks, alongside fintech, crypto, gaming, commerce, insurance, and healthcare brands.
