The Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas will soon be securing its premises with Patriot One’s PATSCAN Multi-Sensor Threat Detection Platform. Phase 1 of the partnership will kick off with the installation of PATSCAN Multi-Sensor Gateways and the PATSCAN VRS computer vision system.
Both PATSCAN offerings will be used to help keep weapons out of the Casino. PATSCAN VRS will help spot weapons being carried openly, while the Gateway will detect weapons that have been concealed.
PATSCAN VRS also offers thermal screening and mask detection, which will allow the Plaza to enforce mask requirements and follow public safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The system will notify security personnel if it spots a disturbance inside the Casino.
“Our team has been working with a number of Las Vegas resorts and casinos since setting up operations in the city back in December 2017,” said Patriot One President and COO Dietmar Wennemer. “With the commercialization of our PATSCAN Platform early this summer, we’re seeing an increase in interest for our solutions, including our elevated body temperature solution, which can assist in identifying potential viral threats.”
“We are pleased to be the first in the downtown area to implement new physical and health security solutions to better protect our guests and staff,” added Plaza GM Jay Franken.
According to Patriot One, the PATSCAN technologies will be installed before the 2020 holiday season, and will be in placed before the Plaza’s New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration. The Plaza is hoping the system will make the Casino safer for staff and guests alike.
In other news, Patriot One has enlisted Winning Media to raise its profile in the US. Winning Media will primarily reach out through digital channels to build brand awareness.
The Plaza announcement comes on Peter Evans’ first day as the CEO of Patriot One. The company also brought on a new CFO to advance its commercialization efforts in August.
