Oura, the company behind the popular Oura Ring wearable, has announced three new features aimed at enhancing women’s health monitoring.
Dubbed Cycle Insights 3.0, Cycle Aware Readiness Scores, and Cycle Insights Report, the features are designed to provide users with deeper insights into their menstrual cycles and overall well-being.
Cycle Insights 3.0 offers information on cycle regularity, length, and period duration, helping users identify patterns and potential irregularities.
Cycle Aware Readiness Scores adjust the existing Readiness Score metric to account for cyclical biometric changes, providing a more accurate representation of overall wellness.
Lastly, the Cycle Insights Report, developed with Oura’s Medical Advisory Board, presents a comprehensive overview of cycle data, including length, variability, and temperature charts.
The new features are expected to roll out to current Oura Ring 3 models in the coming weeks, and continue to place Oura among the forefront of biometric wearables in the health space.
Last year the company announced a partnership with three continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device providers, allowing its users to share their biometric data with CGM platforms, and enabling a deeper understanding of the relationship between fitness data, lifestyle factors, and glucose levels.
