“…in the wake of stringent age and identity verification regulations implemented by the UK Gambling Commission, the company is looking to ensure compliance with a user friendly solution provided by Jumio.”
Jumio has won another client in the online gambling space.
Headquartered in Malta, Novibet operates an online gaming platform aimed primarily at the UK and European markets, with offices in Athens and London. The organization operates 1,800 online betting games accessible over the web or through mobile devices.
Now, in the wake of stringent age and identity verification regulations implemented by the UK Gambling Commission, the company is looking to ensure compliance with a user friendly solution provided by Jumio. The latter’s platform primarily revolves around the use of biometric facial recognition and AI-driven document reading, allowing end users to confirm their identities (and ages) with selfie images and pictures of official ID.
“We are absolutely convinced that Jumio’s tried, tested and recognized identity and age verification services will greatly support a seamless onboarding process for new customers,” explained Novibet Chief Operations Officer Konstantinos Andris in a statement announcing the collaboration.
While Jumio’s approach to customer verification has proven popular elsewhere, with financial services being a key market area for the company, it has also established a foothold in online gambling, with a case study from earlier this year illustrating the benefits it has delivered to Casumo, another online gaming platform. Now that Novibet has come onboard too, it seems that Jumio is on a bit of a winning streak in this market area as well.
