Of the major players that have really been at the forefront of the selfie-based authentication trend, one of the most acclaimed is surely Jumio. One of the pioneers of face-to-ID matching, the company has seen a great deal of praise and industry awards over the last few years, with the most recent examples including a pair of Stevies in the American Business Awards and a couple of BIG awards.
That has all been driven by Jumio’s sophisticated technology, so it was a great opportunity for FindBiometrics Director of Digital Content Susan Stover to be able to catch up with Jumio’s Chief Product Officer, Philipp Pointner, at this week’s Money20/20 Europe event in Amsterdam. Pointner started things off with a discussion of Jumio’s expanded solutions portfolio, which has added Authentication and AML solutions to its core facial recognition and ID scanning system. Pointner also talked about Jumio’s very strong year (“we’re still growing like crazy”) and what’s next for the company, including potential added services in KYC and device-based fingerprint authentication. Listen to the full interview to learn what’s going on with one of the biggest names in selfie-based identity verification.
