NCINGA Earns MOSIP Certification to Power Inclusive Digital IDs

Singapore-based IT services firm NCINGA has been officially certified as a Technology Partner by the Modular Open-Source Identity Platform (MOSIP), strengthening its position to deliver large-scale digital identity projects for governments worldwide. The certification validates NCINGA’s technical expertise in deploying MOSIP’s foundational ID system and opens doors to significant opportunities in emerging markets across Africa and Asia, where demand for secure, inclusive digital ID infrastructure continues to grow.

MOSIP, an open-source platform developed by IIIT-Bangalore, has become a leading choice for nations implementing national ID programs. The platform’s modular architecture can be customized to local requirements while maintaining high security and privacy standards. Recent MOSIP-based initiatives demonstrate the platform’s versatility, from Peru’s planned digital ID pilot to Ethiopia’s nationwide “Fayda” ID system.

With its new certification, NCINGA joins an elite group of MOSIP technology partners—including Credence ID, TECH5, and Rank One Computing—capable of implementing these systems at scale. The MOSIP ecosystem continues to expand, with the platform now supporting 26 countries worldwide, including active deployments in Nigeria, Zambia, and Sri Lanka.

NCINGA’s leadership emphasized that the recognition will enhance the company’s ability to serve as a strategic partner for governments pursuing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) projects. The firm has already demonstrated its ambitions by participating in Sri Lanka’s upcoming national digital ID program, where it was among the bidders in a recent pre-qualification round.

Achieving MOSIP certification requires meeting rigorous technical and security criteria. Partner organizations must demonstrate skilled personnel, substantial technology revenue (exceeding $2 million), and proven capabilities to customize and support MOSIP deployments over the long term. The comprehensive evaluation process includes technical training from MOSIP Academy, sandbox environment setup to showcase technical proficiency, and verification of operational and security standards.

“This is a significant achievement for NCINGA,” said CEO Harindha Fernando. “It underscores our commitment to digital inclusion and positions us as a strategic and innovative partner for governments pursuing digital transformation initiatives.”

The announcement reflects the growing momentum around MOSIP as more countries prioritize digital identity for inclusive development. Open-source platforms like MOSIP allow nations to maintain digital sovereignty and avoid vendor lock-in while benefiting from global best practices and a collaborative ecosystem. As part of the MOSIP network, NCINGA will contribute to advancing secure digital IDs that support broader DPI efforts in authentication, civil registries, and social services.

With digital identity now recognized as critical infrastructure, NCINGA’s certification marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to spread inclusive ID systems worldwide, particularly in regions where access to formal identity remains a barrier to essential services.
