Credence ID has been recognized as a System Integrator by the Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP), formally joining the initiative’s Technology Partner program. The company now appears on the MOSIP Marketplace, signifying its readiness to support large-scale digital ID implementations worldwide.
Expanding Global Role in Digital Identity
The designation allows Credence ID to work with governments and organizations deploying MOSIP-based digital identity systems. It follows a successful technical evaluation that demonstrated the company’s ability to integrate and support foundational ID systems built on the open-source MOSIP framework.
The development aligns with growing momentum around digital identity infrastructure in several countries. In Sri Lanka, authorities are preparing MOSIP-based tenders ahead of a planned pilot launch in 2026. In Zambia, the government is working to integrate MOSIP with the SmartCarePro electronic health record system, training healthcare professionals to use biometric-based patient management tools.
MOSIP Gains Momentum Across Africa and Asia
MOSIP is an open-source platform designed to support secure and inclusive foundational ID systems. It has become an increasingly popular option for countries seeking vendor-neutral, interoperable identity frameworks. Nigeria recently launched an $83 million tender to modernize its national digital ID system using MOSIP components. In Burkina Faso, MOSIP is playing a role in national ID system upgrades. Uganda has also moved forward with digital identity modernization, launching a mass ID renewal campaign in preparation for its 2026 elections.
As part of the MOSIP ecosystem, Credence ID will collaborate with other partners to support digital ID rollouts that aim to increase access to public services, financial inclusion, and healthcare delivery. The company’s expertise in mobile biometrics and identity verification positions it to contribute meaningfully to these national initiatives.
With its inclusion in the MOSIP Marketplace, Credence ID joins a growing list of integrators and technology vendors helping governments deploy digital ID infrastructure using open standards. The move reinforces the company’s strategic commitment to identity solutions that are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with international best practices.
