Naples Accountants Launch Namirial Professional Identity Wallet

The professional order for chartered accountants and accounting experts in Naples has launched a digital identity wallet on Namirial’s platform, giving members an electronic credential in place of a physical membership card.

The wallet can check a professional’s registration and the validity of their credential in real time. It brings evidence of membership together with services used by accountants in their professional and administrative activities.

Members can access records of continuing-education credits and exemptions, information about association dues and digital badges for entry to courts and institutional buildings. The wallet also provides access to certified email and qualified electronic signatures.

Italy’s certified-email system, known as PEC, is used for formal electronic correspondence. Qualified electronic signatures support the signing of documents through regulated trust services. Both are included among the services connected to the professional wallet.

The Naples order is led by president Matteo De Lise. Namirial chief executive Massimiliano Pellegrini described the platform’s role in connecting professional identity with the services that members use.

The partners describe the wallet as aligned with Italy’s IT-Wallet technical guidelines and the developing European digital-identity framework. The professional credential is issued for members of the Naples order and supports verification of their status in that organization.

Namirial has also connected its wallet technology to other European identity ecosystems. Its participation in the France Identité ecosystem followed interoperability validation for exchanges involving France’s digital identity service.

That work places Namirial’s technology between credential issuers, wallets and services requesting identity information. It supports the exchange of identity attributes through the interfaces used by participants in the French ecosystem.

The company separately obtained ETSI TS 119 461 certification for its identity-proofing suite under the updated European trust-services framework. That certification concerns the onboarding and verification process used for trust services, rather than the Naples professional wallet itself.

The Naples implementation combines a membership credential with records that change over time, including professional registration, education requirements and fee status. Real-time validation lets a receiving institution check current professional status instead of relying solely on a physical card.

Alongside that verification, members can use the wallet to reach the signing, correspondence and building-access services associated with their professional identity.
