LumenVox has officially achieved ISO 27001 certification. The company received the designation following an evaluation with an independent auditor that was carried out over the course of the past eight months.
The ISO 27001 standard was created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and specifically covers an organization’s data security practices. Certification indicates that an organization is able to protect the personal information of clients and customers alike, and that it follows certain guidelines with its security procedures.
LumenVox, meanwhile, is best known for its comprehensive voice solutions portfolio. The company’s voice biometric technology is accurate enough for authentication purposes, and can be used during a live conversation or in an automated call channel. The portfolio also includes analytic and transcription utilities, and offers support for multiple languages and dialects.
In terms of security, LumenVox uses data encryption and SSO technology to limit access to sensitive information. The company’s setup is compliant with international regulations.
“Achieving ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that we are committed to meeting the most widely accepted security management and compliance parameters in the industry,” said LumenVox Founder and CEO Edward Miller. “As LumenVox continues to grow its enterprise customer base and expand internationally, we are dedicated to continuous security improvements that instill trust and directly benefit our customers. ISO accreditation helps to ensure we have the systems in place to accomplish that.”
In December, Frost & Sullivan recognized LumenVox with an Enabling Technology Leadership Award for 2021, a distinction that places the company at the forefront of the contact center industry in North America. LumenVox has since provided voice and speech recognition services for Twilio, which has integrated LumenVox’s technology into its own cloud communications platform to enable voice authentication and deliver more voice utilities for end users. Speech Technology Magazine also handed LumenVox a People’s Choice Award back in 2020.
