“The move is in keeping with Jumio’s recent push into Latin America…”
Jumio is expanding its presence in Latin America with a new sales office in Brazil. The expansion effort will be led by newly appointed Regional Director Samer Atassi, who brings more than 25 years of strategic planning and international sales experience to the position.
“With more than 1,000 fintech startups and a large unbanked population, we’re targeting [Latin America] for its untapped market potential,” said Harnish Patel, Jumio’s VP of Americas. “Jumio’s end-to-end verification solutions will reshape the region’s traditional banking landscape.”
The move is in keeping with Jumio’s recent push into Latin America, which began in earnest in August of 2018 with a new office in Colombia and a partnership with Branddocs. Jumio hopes its new office will solidify its relationships with its existing partners and attract new clients in the financial services and digital security spheres.
Jumio’s portfolio includes a number of identity and access management solutions, including Jumio Authentication, a new selfie authentication platform that was developed with FaceTec technology. The company believes the demand for its anti-fraud solutions will fuel triple-digit growth in Latin America in 2019, especially amongst financial institutions looking for a convenient and compliant way to onboard new customers and safeguard existing accounts.
