Iris ID went home with the platinum prize in the “Best Facial/Iris Recognition” category at the 2020 ASTOR Awards. The ASTORS are presented by American Security Today to commemorate leading government, enterprise, and public security solutions.
Iris ID was specifically recognized for its IrisTime solution, which debuted in September. The platform is designed primarily for time and attendance tracking and access control, using dual iris and face capture to verify people’s identities when they arrive at work. The Android system is compatible with hundreds of time and attendance applications, while organizations with more development resources can use it to create their own custom applications.
The news extends Iris ID’s string of success at the ASTORS. The company has now taken home an award in four of the five years in which the ASTORS have been presented, after being recognized for its IrisAccess iCAM 7S series solutions in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
The iCAM7100 iris scanner is notably featured in Iris ID’s IrisTime terminal. ASTOR winners, meanwhile, are selected based on factors like technical innovation, interoperability, and a solution’s impact both inside and outside the particular industry for which it is intended.
“This award validates Iris ID’s strategic vision for innovation with products such as IrisTime,” said Iris ID Global Sales and Business Development VP Mohammed Murad. “That includes providing a touchless identity solution as we rebuild our workforce during and after the pandemic. IrisTime is the time clock for the modern workforce.”
Iris ID recently formed a new partnership with Olive and Dove, becoming the exclusive distributor of the latter’s Remo+ smart doorbells in North America. Before that, Iris ID provided IrisAccess biometric attendance tracking technology for three hotels in Iraq, and integrated that technology into Securiport’s various security gates and automated kiosks. Inc. has listed Iris ID as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.
