Iris ID is looking to raise its profile in Turkey. To that end, the company has brought on Seyit Ali Kaya to serve as its new Regional Manager for Operations in the country.
As Regional Manager, Kaya will be expected to help expand Iris ID’s business in Turkey, though his territory also includes neighboring countries in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Kaya will bring more than 15 years of executive experience to the position, accrued over the course of a career that includes prior stops at Hewlett-Packard, Turkcell, and the SAS Institute.
In his previous roles, Kaya has managed projects for the government and defense sectors, in addition to large enterprises. Iris ID is hoping that he will be able to sell iris recognition technology to the Turkish government, and increase the company’s brand awareness with businesses in the region. Kaya has handled everything from sales to marketing to business development, and is broadly familiar with retail, communications, and digital analytic technologies in addition to biometrics.
“We see Turkey, its surrounding countries and Eastern Europe offering Iris ID tremendous growth opportunities,” said Iris ID Global Sales and Business Development VP Mohammed Murad. “We’re confident Seyit Ali, with his high-tech experience throughout the region, will help us increase business with existing and new customers.”
Iris ID recently revealed two new multimodal solutions at the Intersec trade show in Dubai. The iCAM D2000 and the IrisBar support both face and iris recognition, with Iris ID suggesting that the devices are well-suited to high-throughput airport applications.
Of course, Iris ID would presumably be thrilled if Kaya is able to achieve those kinds of air transit installations in Turkey and beyond. The company is also well known for its timekeeping solutions, and provided iT100 terminals to Tracy Inc. at the tail end of 2021.
