TRUSTDOCK will be integrating iProov’s liveness detection technology into its own Know Your Customer platform. Genuine Presence Assurance will allow TRUSTDOCK customers to verify the identities of their users, and help prevent deepfakes and other forms of spoofing.
The TRUSTDOCK solution will be marketed to businesses and government agencies throughout Southeast Asia. The company itself is based and currently operates in Japan, but plans to expand to Thailand, Malaysia, and other parts of the region sometime in the near future. TRUSTDOCK’s e-KYC service was built to support remote onboarding initiatives.
Genuine Presence Assurance will bolster the platform with passive liveness detection. In addition to verifying the identity of a customer, the solution will ensure that the customer being verified is real and present for the interaction, and not being spoofed with a photo, a video, or through some other means.
“The drive towards digital transformation in Asia-Pacific must deliver enhanced convenience, reduced fraud and lower costs,” said iProov Founder and CEO Andrew Bud. “Genuine Presence Assurance provides the security and privacy needed for effortless remote identity verification.”
“Across Asia-Pacific, changing regulations mean that organizations must be ready to take advantage of new possibilities in digital services,” added TRUSTDOCK CEO Takahiro Chiba. “iProov provides us with the flexibility needed to realize those opportunities and deliver all levels of assurance, including banks and government bodies.”
The news comes shortly after iProov combined its Genuine Presence Assurance technology with its Liveness Assurance tech to create a unified solution that offers biometric authentication with liveness detection. Evernym and Acuant are some of the other authentication providers that have turned to iProov for Genuine Presence Assurance in the past few months.
In the meantime, iProov has opened a new Security Operations Centre to watch for large-scale deepfake attacks. The Centre will also serve as the operational hub for the company’s Genuine Presence Assurance system.
