Acuant has teamed up with iProov to enhance is facial recognition capabilities. To that end, the company will be integrating iProov’s Flashmark technology into its own Trusted Identity Platform to enable remote onboarding and authentication.
Flashmark is noteworthy for its Genuine Presence Assurance liveness detection capabilities. The solution is device agnostic, and projects a cryptographic color sequence onto the user’s face to create a unique one-time code that is virtually impossible to fake. The color sequence is projected from the screen, while the process itself takes only a few seconds.
With the Flashmark upgrade, customers will be able to leverage Acuant’s Trusted Identity Platform for onboarding and fraud prevention in a wide variety of industries. The Platform is compliant with the latest privacy and security regulations.
“As a leader in identity management solutions, Acuant delivers trust and security to all facets of our lives,” said iProov CEO Andrew Bud. “We’re excited about this partnership, which will deliver simpler, faster and safer digital identity solutions globally.”
“The demand for online authentication and genuine presence assurance is growing every day,” added Acuant CEO Yossi Zekri. “iProov addresses the increasing threat of replay attacks and other spoofing tactics like no other solution today.”
With the news, Acuant becomes the latest company to adopt iProov’s facial recognition technology in the past few months. iProov has already provided similar services for Australia’s IDV Pacific Pay and the bloomd digital community platform. In the latter case, iProov did so for free to help support community initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company’s technology received ISO/IEC 30107-3 certification in February of 2019.
Acuant has enjoyed similar success in 2020. The company recently unveiled a new monitoring tool to enable COVID-19 tracking programs, and partnered with Ceevo to offer better customer onboarding. Acuant has also completed its acquisition of IdentityMind.
