This week’s roundup of FindBiometrics’ top stories includes two interviews with identity industry leaders, a couple of stories about ongoing industry trends, and some serious investment funding for an emerging digital security player.
To kick things off, FindBiometrics’ interview with IDEX Biometrics’ CEO Vince Graziani understandably piqued many readers’ curiosity. He’s a fresh face at the company, having just been named its new CEO at the end of February; and, speaking with FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill, Graziani had some interesting things to say about the company’s major partnerships, the impact of COVID-19, and more:

Another interview that proved to be of interest this week came by way of our ID Talk Podcast, and Onfido’s Chief Product Officer, Kevin Trilli. For ID Evolution Month, he had a chat with ID Talk co-host Susan Stover about things like mobile onboarding, the identity lifecycle, the post-password future, and, of course, the ongoing pandemic:

As for ongoing industry trends, this week saw the news that fingerprint-based authentication has continued to make inroads in the PC and laptop space, this time through another Apple device – the new 13-inch MacBook Pro. This may also mark the resurgence of Touch ID after Apple’s pioneering authentication system made its way back into the iPhone line in a budget-friendly device that the company also recently launched:

Another, very different trend also continued this week, with another major consumer-facing tech company being accused of violating Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act:
