Intellect Data is trying to make it easier for businesses to turn raw text, raw images, and raw video footage into actionable data. To that end, the company has released a new Intellect INFER solution that can track a number of different variables across a large data pool.
INFER is an automated solution, and therefore negates the need for lengthy and onerous manual reviews. The tool can identify, label, and sort key pieces of information to highlight trends, and give agents (even untrained ones) the ability to search for information that has already been categorized. Organizations that deal primarily with text-based documents can take advantage of its Optical Character Recognition and text extraction capabilities, while those that collect surveillance footage may be more interested in its event and object detection and facial recognition suite. The platform also supports sentiment analysis.
According to Intellect, INFER was built to be user-friendly, and can be deployed as a low or no-code analytic solution. Businesses can use Intellect’s pre-built models, or develop and train custom models that better meet their organization’s own particular needs.
“We are excited to make INFER available to businesses of all sizes, to empower them with state-of-the-art technology providing significant value with ease of implementation, without the out-sized expense,” said Intellect Data CEO Todd Smith. “We believe that every company can benefit from our technology to improve their operations, products, sales, and service.”
Intellect noted that there is a growing demand for solutions like INFER now that more companies are try to use data intelligence to inform their strategic decisions. Allied Market Research predicted that the market for analytics-as-a-service solutions would exceed $126 billion in 2026, though that report was published prior to the global spread of COVID-19. The firm has since suggested that the video analytics market alone would top $24 billion in 2027.
