Atlanta-based biometric identity verification service InfoMart has announced it will be offering its ASAP ID application for free to essential services in order to help with the increased demand in hiring people into essential positions during the COVID-19 outbreak that has swept across the world.
InfoMart’s digital identity platform enables essential services that may be experiencing increased pressure to fill vacant positions or add new ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic to safely screen and onboard them remotely from their home.
The company’s biometric verification application, known as ASAP ID, allows job candidates to complete a background check from their mobile device in 60 seconds, allowing hiring managers to practice physical distancing since the process never requires one-on-one interaction.
“We are utilizing our technology to help companies and people get through this crisis,” said Tammy Cohen, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of InfoMart. “With ASAP ID, your job candidates don’t have to interact in-person to get their background check started.”
“The adoption of mobile biometric solutions to establish digital identity assurance in all facets of onboarding and screening is being driven by the crisis at hand and will be built into the fabric of all systems going forward,” added Marco Piovesan, CEO of InfoMart.
InfoMart joins a growing list of biometric technology firms that have stepped up during the COVID-19 outbreak to offer free or discounted services to help combat the spread of the virus that has thus far infected more than 1.9 million people around the world, with over 120 thousand deaths.
