The consumer privacy specialist InfoComply has partnered with Acuant to make it easier for organizations to process privacy requests and customer information. To that end, the company will integrate Acuant’s AssureID and FaceID into its own iDatachoice solution.
iDatachoice is a platform that essentially consolidates organizational privacy policies. Consumers can use the platform to request information about the privacy policies of various enterprise organizations, and to find out how those corporations are using the personal information they already have.
Acuant’s identity verification technology will make it easier (and safer) for those corporations to process those requests. AssureID is a document recognition solution that ensures that the user’s identity document is legitimate, while FaceID uses facial recognition with liveness detection to make sure that the individual matches the document in question.
The technology is intended to help filter out any fraudulent requests while simultaneously reducing the administrative burden on legal departments. In that regard, iDatachioce will make it easier for organizations to achieve compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and the CCPA. The transparency should also build trust and allow consumers to make more informed decisions.
“InfoComply puts individuals in the driver’s seat of their own personal data management,” said Acuant President and CEO Yossi Zekri. “Our verification and authentication solutions show trusted consumers the fast lane, while adding checks to suspicious users.”
“The discovery of data subject information across the enterprise has become much faster,” added InfoComply Co-Founder and Customer Success VP Suren Reddy. “With Acuant, we’re able to deliver extremely fast and accurate verification that further solidifies the trust that’s required between a company and its customers.”
The news comes shortly after Acuant augmented its liveness detection capabilities through a partnership with iProov. The company upgraded its document recognition technology last October, and would then go on to complete the acquisition of IdentityMind in the early months of 2020.
